One of the founding fathers of “indie horror” disappeared from behind the camera over 20 years ago. J.R. Bookwalter stamped his ticket to horror royalty in the late 80’s when right out of high school he sought the guidance of Sam Raimi and unleashed upon the world – THE DEAD NEXT DOOR. That film also marked the first team up with writer/actor James L. Edwards – and here we are, decades later with Bookwalter once again behind the camera (his first directoral effort in 23 years) and Edwards writing and starring in SIDE EFFECTS MAY VARY.
I got to have some one on one time with the duo and we touch on the new film, some old memories and we spill the beans on the upcoming roadshow that will unleash SIDE EFFECTS MAY VARY onto the world. Check out our talk below.
