Greg Nicotero Is Bringing The Classic Robert McCammon Novel SWAN SONG To The Screen

The second best post-apocalyptic horror novel ever written (in this horror fan’s opinion) – second only to THE STAND is Robert McCammon’s SWAN SONG. If I’m being honest – it’s just as good, it really is.

The exciting news that dropped today is that this amazing tale is finally making its way to the screen. Deadline is reporting that Greg Nicotero is involved in developing the epic novel into a series – presumably for SHUDDER.

They are reporting that Nicotero will direct the pilot episode.

If you’ve never read the book, it tells the tale of what happens “following the U.S. government’s nuclear showdown with an unprecedented malevolent enemy, America as it was is gone forever. Now the remaining citizens must fight to stay alive in a wasteland born of rage and fear, populated by monstrous creatures and marauding armies.”

The hunt is currently on for a writer to adapt the sprawling tale.

Keeping a close eye on this one – it has the potential to be epic.
