Been a while since the genre has seen anything from Diablo Cody but it appears as if that is all about to change. Titled LISA FRANKENSTEIN it will bring the classic tale into the modern age with our lead resurrecting the dead with an altered tanning bed. Yep, you read that right.
So – we got a teaser trailer – released via X – check it out!
The teaser also came with the news that LISA will be hitting early next year – Feb. 9th.
A kick-ass cast is on board – Kathryn Newton and Cole Sprouse lead with Carla Gugino, Liza Soberano, Joe Chrest, and Henry Eikenberry round things out. Zelda Willaims directs.
Here’s your synopsis:
“A coming of RAGE love story about a misunderstood teenager and her high school crush, who happens to be a handsome corpse. After a set of playfully horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness… and a few missing body parts along the way. – Set in 1989, the film follows an unpopular high schooler who accidentally re-animates a handsome Victorian corpse during a lightning storm and starts to rebuild him into the man of her dreams using the broken tanning bed in her garage.”
