[Trailer] Found Footage Nightmares Are Unleashed in THE OUTWATERS

Just recently caught wind of this one, been a buzz around the internet for a week or so and today I stumbled across the trailer for THE OUTWATERS over at Bloody Disgusting. Turns out that the film will be getting a bit of a theatrical run here in a few weeks, and it’s a Screambox flick which I’m assuming means it won’t be long till we will be able to see it on the streaming service.

Couldn’t find an official synopsis anywhere but the basic just seems to be that a group of young filmmakers head out to the desert to film a music video – and shit gets weird. The trailer does a fine job of making that much obvious – let’s partake, shall we?

I did come across this description over at this trailer YouTube posting:

“The film plays out over three memory cards found in a sun-drenched section of the Mojave Desert. The footage within is that of a foursome, who set out to make a music video while camping, led by a charismatic LA filmmaker. Their trip starts out uneventful, though their peace is occasionally disrupted by unexplained sounds, vibrations, and unnatural animal behavior. Then one night everything changes, sending the foursome on a mind-bending trip through terror.”

The theatrical run is slated for Feb. 9th – and I’m thinking it should hit Screambox shortly after that. Looks promising.
