[Trailer] PREY Takes The Predator Saga In A Whole New Direction

We’ve been talking about PREY for a bit now – and today we finally got a full trailer that is quite frankly – pretty kick ass.

Set up as an obvious prequel to the earlier films – PREY invites us back to one of the Predator’s first run-ins with human hunters – and the battle looks to be a bit legendary.

“Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, Prey is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.”

Directed by Dan Trachtenberg – who gave us 10 Cloverfield Lane – appears to have gone above and beyond to bring us a truly interesting period piece and I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that Amber Midthunder is about to give us a performance we won’t soon forget.

August 5th on Hulu – be there.
