CHUCKY – THE SERIES Gets A Blu-ray Date

One of the biggest surprises from last year was the fact that the small screen reimagining of the classic Child’s Play franchise titled CHUCKY turned out to be one of the most smartly written, interestingly filmed, crazy-ass horror adventures ever put on film. Every episode is better than the one before – it is easily a must-own addition to your horror collection – and you’ll be able to do that soon as we just got the news that season one is heading to Blu-ray.

Got the box art to show you:

As you can tell – not a lot of special features – which is a bit sad but really – this show is so good, no need for a lot of fluff, we’ll take what we can get.

The synopsis of the series is:

“After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies and allies from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”

It’s really fun how they roll this new storyline into the mythos of the original film series, this is a set you’re going to want to have on hand so – make your arrangements now to pick it up when it hits stores on April 12th.
