What a journey the horror series SLASHER has had. It started out on Chiller TV – and when that went belly up it got picked up by Netflix, where it actually had a pretty successful multiple season run – and now we will soon be getting a fourth season but this time around we’re heading to Shudder – which just makes sense if you stop and think about it.
This season will be 8 episodes long and is titled Slasher: Flesh and Blood. The first two episodes will air on the streaming service starting Aug. 12th with the remaining 6 hitting in one-week intervals.
This season will star genre vet David Cronenberg, along with Paula Brancati, Jefferson Brown, Patrice Goodman, Sabrina Grdevich, Christopher Jacot, Rachael Crawford, Jeananne Goosen, Sydney Meyer, and Alex Ozero.
The synopsis informs us that this season will center around:
“a wealthy, dysfunctional family that gathers for a reunion on a secluded island only to learn they’ll be pitted against one another in a cruel game of life and death, all while being stalked by a mysterious masked killer. Nothing is what it seems and no one is safe as the tension–and body count–ratchets up.”
Been a big fan of this series so far – and it’s sounding like Flesh and Blood is just going to add to the fun. Officially looking forward to this one.
