HORROR NEWS OF THE WEEK RETURNS – The Night House, The Suicide Squad, and Wellington Paranormal

The Horror News Radio GrueCrew discusses the new trailer for the upcoming David Bruckner film THE NIGHT HOUSE. Rebecca Hall (Godzilla vs Kong) leads the cast. The Searchlight Picture film arrives July 16, 2021, and also features Sarah Goldberg (Barry, Elementary), Vondie Curtis Hall (DIE HARD 2, EVE’S BAYOU), Evan Jonigkeit (Togetherish, Sweetbitter), and Stacy Martin (VOX LUX, NYMPHOMANIAC).

The plot follows Beth (Hall) after the sudden, tragic loss of her husband left alone to reside in the house he built for them. Soon she begins to discover the many secrets the house hides within its walls. What was her husband up to?

The Suicide Squad is back, this time in the hands of gifted director James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) with familiar faces and new ones as well. Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), Boomerang (Jai Courtney), and Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) are now teaming up with Peacemaker (John Cena), Bloodsport (Idris Elba), King Shark (Sylvester Stallone), and more. And, ladies and gentlemen, presenting STARRO. Just you wait.

The GrueCrew are excited to share the news that the New Zealand series WELLINGTON PARANORMAL from Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement is heading to the States to air on both the CW and HBOMAX. The show is a spin-off of WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS following two paranormal investigating cops seen in that film. Look for the previous two seasons and the upcoming third season to air on HBOMAX soon.
