Hitting theaters this Halloween season from Focus Features and Amblin Entertainment is Come Play – a creepy kid / creepy monster hybrid that actually looks like it might be a bit of fun.
The film is directed by Jacob Chase – who also carries the writing credit. This is a feature-length take at his short film Larry, Come Play.
Starring are Gillian Jacobs, John Gallagher Jr., and Azhy Robertson in his first feature role. Here’s your official synopsis:
“Oliver (Robertson), a lonely young boy who feels different from everyone else. Desperate for a friend, he seeks solace and refuge in his ever-present cell phone and tablet. When a mysterious creature uses Oliver’s devices against him to break into our world, Oliver’s parents (Jacobs and Gallagher) must fight to save their son from the monster beyond the screen.”
Looks like it might be a fun Halloween season flick. Looking forward to it.
