Here’s some news that I know I’ve been waiting to hear – the CBS All Access remake of The Stand officially has an air date – Dec 17th is when it makes it big debut!
The nine episode series will air on Thursday nights.
King has written a new ending for the tale that reportedly spins things in a new direction and those events will make up a large part of the final episode – I’m assuming to set up a future season of the show, right?
A pretty amazing cast lined up – we’ve gone over it before but – what the hell, let’s talk about it again.
This adaptation stars Whoopi Goldberg as Mother Abagail, Alexander Skarsgård as Randall Flagg, James Marsden as Stu Redman, Odessa Young as Frannie Goldsmith, Amber Heard as Nadine Cross, Greg Kinnear as Glen Bateman, Henry Zaga as Nick Andros, Brad William Henke as Tom Cullen, Katherine McNamara as Julie Lawry, Hamish Linklater as Dr. Ellis, Eion Bailey as Teddy Weizak, Daniel Sunjata as Cobb, Fiona Dourif as the Rat Woman, Owen Teague as Harold Lauder, Nat Wolff as Lloyd Henreid, Jovan Adepo as Larry Underwood, and Heather Graham as Rita Blakemoor, and don’t forget we’ve got Marilyn Manson doing something, still don’t know what but, it will be exciting to find out.
I’m already for this one – Dec. 17th can’t come quick enough!
