Ryan Gosling Set To Howl At The Moon As Universal Once Again Reboots THE WOLFMAN

Although there isn’t much news yet on this announcement – the news we do have is pretty damn exciting. No big secret that Universal has been attempting to revive their classic monster franchises – they got things off to a pretty good start with Leigh Whannell’s take on The Invisible Man and now we got word that Ryan Gosling is on board and ready to bring a new spin on The Wolfman.

No director has been attached but we do have a little info from Variety that suggest the film will:

“be set in present times and in the vein of Jake Gyllenhaal’s thriller NIGHTCRAWLER with an obvious supernatural twist.”

They go on to say that Gosling himself pitched the idea for the concept to Universal who then brought on Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo to craft the script.

That doesn’t sound all bad to me.

Obviously things are in the very early stages but you know – we are all over this one. Check back for the latest.
