Blumhouse Revamps ‘Fantasy Island’ Into A Horror Film – And The Trailer Has Arrived

For those of us of a certain age – Fantasy Island was a staple of our weekly TV viewing. Just like Wonderful World Of Disney, Happy Days, and Welcome Back, Kotter – the week was just not on track if you didn’t hear Tatoo proclaim – “Da Plane, Da Plane!”

Although sometimes the show ventured into some slightly darker material – for the most part, it was pretty light fare. For this modern retelling, Blumhouse has decided to go full-on horror – and we’ve got the trailer to give you an idea of how that may have gone.

From the press release:

In Blumhouse’s new spin on Fantasy Island, the enigmatic Mr. Roarke makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort. But when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives.

Directed by Jeff Wadlow, Fantasy Island is written by Jeff Wadlow & Chris Roach & Jillian Jacobs and is produced by Jason Blum and Marc Toberoff.
