Buckle up all for the gargantuan sized episode of Indie Infestation! That’s right boys and girls it’s a full 3 hours and 23 minutes of Indie horror and genre delight all up in your face! Joe, Zane, Cookie Lips Lombardo and very special guest host, actress Sable Griedel slid up on some most excellent guests at GenreBlast IV to bring you the delightfulness about to enter your ears!
First up is the crew from the upcoming Jonathan Straiton joint “Johnny Z”. This interview featured Brie Straiton, Michael Merchant, Ryan Felker and martial arts guru Felix Cortes! This was a very emotional interview talking about the blood, sweat and tears put into the film (and yes real tears are shed during the interview).

Next up was Rakefet Abergel speaking about her directorial debut in the short film “Boo”. Spoiler….she won best Director for a Short! Rakefet is a joy to be around and holds a special place in Joe’s heart as she was in one of his all time favorite films, “Superbad”.

The duo of Michael Epstein and Sophia Cacciola are a formidable team and it showed as they were involved in several films at GenreBlast IV. The one that really stood out was “Half Cocked”; if you get a chance to see it, don’t let it pass you by!

The II crew got to spend time with a recent guest, a monster of an awesome dude that made a monster of a monster film it is none other then John Hale! John took home best effects in a short film and desevedly so for his film “The Conduit”.

The next two guys on the interview are from a film which is one of Joe’s favorite of the year, “Straight Edge Kegger”. Jason Zink is the director behind this gem and Cory Kays plays the lead role in the film. If this is playing at a festival near you GO SEE IT!

Next up was another interview that the II crew is not used to. It was a very emotional interview with “Johnny Z” actor Jason Delgado. Jason feels very blessed and grateful to have had the opportunity to work with the John and Brie Straiton (also two of Joe’s favorite people).

The II crew followed up with another former guest, the man who makes murder easy, director David Palamaro, the man behind “Murder Made Easy”. David and Cookie Lips share a special bond which you’ll hear all about.

The next guest was a first for II for two reasons. First it was actress Ellie Church’s first time on the podcast and second it was an II exclusive interview that started in a closet! Ellie was there supporting her new film “Jessie’s Super Normal Regular Average Day” and also took home the Les Femme Du Genre award.

Lastly we had the writer and director for the film “Jessie’s Super Normal Regular Average Day” who also happens to be Ellie’s husband, it is none other than Brian K. Williams.

The crew at Indie Infestation had a blast at GenreBlast IV (pun kind of intended). They hope you enjoy the interviews as much as they enjoyed recording them. Also on the podcast (and Joe really is considering YouTube in the future) is artwork by Zane! Buckle up and crank it up as the tones of the Infestation consume you!
