‘One Cut Of The Dead’ Heading To Theaters In September – Then To Shudder – Trailer Debuts

The zombie comedy is a divine thing if done properly – Shaun Of The Dead being the perfect example – well, word on the street is that the film we are about to talk about – One Cut Of The Dead – is about to give Shaun a run for his money.

Before we get into the release details – let’s have a look at the trailer.

The basic premise seems to be – what if actual zombies showed up while an indie film crew was shooting a zombie film? Here’s the official line from the folks that made the film.

“While shooting a low-budget zombie film in an abandoned warehouse, the crew find themselves caught between actual zombies and a mad director who won’t stop rolling. If you think you know what happens next, think again. Filmmaker Shinichiro Ueda turns the film on its head more than once for one of the wildest, funniest, and most surprising zombie movies of all time.”

Shudder is handling the distribution on this one – they are going to give a small theatrical roll out on Sept. 13th – then a more major, national event on Sept. 17th and then it shall move on to the streaming service. No date on when it actually debut on the Shudder service but – let’s hope it’s sooner than later.
