Shudder’s ‘CREEPSHOW’ Series Prepares To Gear Up In February. First Episode Announced

News on the project just keeps getting better! When it was first announced, I was excited – when news broke that Greg Nicotero was the power behind it – I was ecstatic and when Shudder picked it up – I almost passed out but today’s news – it’s just too much to take. The CREEPSHOW series is about to become a reality.

The first episode will go in front of the camera in just a few short weeks and it will be an adaptation of one of my all-time favorite Stephen King short stories – Survivor Type – which King originally made available through the amazing horror collection Terrors – and then released again in his own short story collection Skeleton Crew a few years later.

Easily one of King’s most disturbing little tales – we find ourselves in the shoes of a sole survivor of a shipwreck who finds a new definition for finger foods. It’s King at his gross-out best and I can’t wait to see a visual adaptation of the tale.

Filming will take place in Atlanta and as a reminder – season one will consist of six episodes of at this time undetermined length. This one is super high on my “most anticipated genre events” of 2019!
