Greg Nicotero Prepping ‘Creepshow’ Series For Shudder

Just when you think it’s not possible to have your mind blown – along comes a piece of news that is nothing short of amazing.   Shudder – the all horror streaming service is teaming up with horror icon Greg Nicotero to bring us a series based on the horror anthology by which all other horror anthologies are judged – the classic Romero-King-Savini helmed Creepshow.

So – the skinny is this – we won’t be seeing this project till 2019.   Each episode will feature a different director – ala Master’s of Horror – with Nicotero and company handling all creature FX and make-ups.

There is no downside to this one – other than the fact we have to wait a year for it.

Nicotero issued the following statement.

“Creepshow is a project very close to my heart! It is one of those titles that embraces the true spirit of horror… thrills and chills celebrated in one of its truest art forms, the comic book come to life! I’m honored to continue the tradition in the ‘spirit’ which it was created.”

The franchise is is good hands on this one.   Shudder and Nicotero will do things right.
