Director Jordan Peele certainly left his mark on the genre when he brought the world Get Out – and it’s sounding like his next endevour will continue to build on that reputation. The Hollywood Reporter has gotten word that the director – via his Monkeypaw production label will be producing a remake of the classic horror franchise The Twilight Zone for CBS. This will be for their streaming service CBS All Access – the same service that is currently bringing us the new Star Trek series.
The pilot episode is being written by Macro Ramirez who – if the series is picked up for series will then take over as showrunner.
The Twilight Zone franchise has spanned decades and encompassed radio, TV, comic books, film and gaming. To say it’s an iconic franchise an understatement of epic proportions.
No word this early on when we might get our first word on what Peele and Co. are up too with this modern version but when the info drops – I’ll toss it your way.
