Stump The Saint – If It Stumps We Can Kill It

Stump The Saint — Horror News Radio’s weekly game show in which the listeners guide Thomas Mariani  to the trivia questions poised to stump Santos “The Black Saint” Ellin Jr. Despite his love of trivia, Santos is capable of being stumped on a weekly basis! As to where the audience comes in to Stump The Saint  it’s quite simple:
    1. Look at the individual topic for that week
    2. Comment — either in this post or in the comments of the posting on Facebook or Twitter — with a film title that relates to the topic for that individual week by the specified date
    3. Thomas will take your suggested titles and find three of them that can be spun into trivia questions to  Stump the Saint
    4. Thomas will read three of your names on the air as he attempts to stump Santos
    5. Those who enter a title with US addresses will be entered into a random drawing to win a special prize!

Topic for the Week

The  Alien  franchise is full of some of the best deaths in cinematic history. Who could forget John Hurt getting that Xenomorph bursting forth from his chest in the original film? Or even the epic death of The Queen at the hands of Ripley? Obviously, the most impressive… is that biologist idiot getting too close to the penis snake as it totally destroys him? Right? Well, maybe not that one. In honor of the latest entry in the franchise from Ridley Scott  Alien Covenant,  Stump the Saint  wants to know Your Favorite Death Scene Involving An Alien from a Genre Movie. Now, that could go both ways. An alien could be the perpetrator of death or the actual victim via human. Or hell, even another alien! It’s dealer’s choice, as long as someone ends up dead at the end of the day.

The Prize

Every month,  Stump The Saint  gives listeners with US addresses the potential to win a special prize. Those who have US addresses — which we’ll mainly try to find out  through publically available information on social media sites — will have at the very least a monthly opportunity to win in a random drawing. This month, we’ve got a special prize DVD or Blu ray (your preference) for you! The Black Saint himself has a vast array of titles in his collection and he’s willing to get you a copy straight from Amazon! The Black Saint’s list for this month includes the following:
  1. The Valley of Gwangi  (1969)
  2. Dolemite (1975)
  3. Battle Beyond The Stars (1980)
  4. The Gate (1987)
  5. Dead Silence  (2007)
You’ll have until  May 22nd at 8:30 pm EST to submit your answer and be in contention to win one of five these five titles on blu-rays or DVD (your choice), which Santos shall send straight to you! So, see if you have the ability to  Stump The Saint!
