Having now viewed the trailer – it’s easy to see why the decision was made to move director Rob Savage’s take on Stephen King’s classic short story from a streaming debut to a theatrical roll out. This trailer for THE BOOGEYMAN is pretty damn intense.
You can’t beat a good ole monster in the closet story – and this one looks to be pretty spectacular. Hitting theaters on June 2nd – THE BOOGEYMAN tells the following tale, according to the press release:
“High school student Sadie Harper and her younger sister Sawyer are reeling from the recent death of their mother and aren’t getting much support from their father, Will, a therapist who is dealing with his own pain. When a desperate patient unexpectedly shows up at their home seeking help, he leaves behind a terrifying supernatural entity that preys on families and feeds on the suffering of its victims. “The Boogeyman,” directed by Rob Savage with a screenplay by Scott Beck & Bryan Woods and Mark Heyman, based upon the short story by Stephen King.”
The film stars Sophie Thatcher, Chris Messina, Vivian Lyra Blair, Marin Ireland, Madison Hu, LisaGay Hamilton, and David Dastmalchian.
This one just moved into the top spot of my “can’t wait to see it” list.
