SHUDDER Keeps Video Cassette Horrors Coming With V/H/S/99

The V/H/S series of anthology films have proven to have pretty good staying power. Last year the horror streaming service SHUDDER brought us a surprise chapter when they debuted V/H/S/94 – so, why not do it again?

Hence this announcement that this haunt season will bring us V/H/S/99.

The info we’ve got so far consists of a synopsis – and the announcement of the directorial talent involved. First up – let’s take in that synopsis:

Synopsis: V/H/S/99 harkens back to the final punk rock analog days of VHS, while taking one giant leap forward into the hellish new millennium. In V/H/S/99, a thirsty teenager’s home video leads to a series of horrifying revelations.

No announcement of segment titles but we know that Maggie Levin, Johannes Roberts, Flying Lotus, Tyler MacIntyre, and Joseph & Vanessa Winter directed the individual segments.

The film is done – all wrapped up and ready to go – and will be hitting SHUDDER on October 20th.

Here’s the only pic that they have released so far.
