Poster Reveals That This Pooh Bear Is Anything But A “Willy, Nilly, Silly Old Bear”

A while back we were treated to a couple of films that took childhood staples – and gave them a horror-inspired twist. We had the Banana Splits Movie – and of course, the Nic Cage take on Chuck E. Cheese – Willy’s Wonderland. Only fitting that Winnie The Pooh should get in on the action.

So – for this version of the classic we get “Pooh and Piglet who go on a rampage after being abandoned by a college-bound Christopher Robin. “Christopher Robin has pulled away from them, and he’s not given them food, it’s made Pooh and Piglet’s life quite difficult. Because they’ve had to fend for themselves so much, they’ve essentially become feral. So they’ve gone back to their animal roots. They’re no longer tame: they’re like a vicious bear and pig who want to go around and try and find prey.”

That description came from writer/director Rhys Frake-Waterfield who will make his written and directorial debut with Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey.

Cast wise – we’ve got Amber Doig-Thorne, Maria Taylor, Danielle Ronald, May Kelly, Natasha Tosini, Marcus Massey, Gillian Broderick, Richard Harfst, Natasha Rose Mills, Paula Coiz, Danielle Scott, Bao Tieu, with Craig David Dowsett as Winnie and Chris Cordell as Piglet

No trailer or anything (Oh, Bother) but – we do have some key art.

When Pooh gets a release date – we’ll let you know.
