Stephen King Announces A Sequel To CUJO – Its Title? RATTLESNAKES

CUJO is one of King’s stories that had a definite effect on me. I’ve been a King fan from very early on – and Cujo was one of his stories that I couldn’t forget about after reading. A few of his tales have stuck with me more than others through the years, but CUJO – man, just thinking about it now sends chills down my spine. That ending, the battle, and ultimate outcome – just chilling.

So – when the word came down that he had just completed what he dubs a “long story” titled RATTLESNAKES and that it is a sequel to CUJO – there goes that chill again!

King made this announcement on the Bloody Disgusting podcast THE LOSER’S CLUB – it was a blunt, frank announcement:

Cujo is an ugly book in a lot of ways. And this novella that I’ve just written, Rattlesnakes, is actually a sequel to Cujo.”

So – what we don’t know is – how does it tie into CUJO, and when can we lay eyes on this piece of must-read coolness?

King has already proven that he can revisit old storylines – and tie in interesting and impressive story arcs within the same story universe, Doctor Sleep comes to immediate mind – so, yeah, you could say I’m a bit excited at the prospect of once again returning to Castle Rock.

Keeping a close eye – so, expect updates – hopefully soon.
