Latest Poster For THE BLACK PHONE Goes Retro

Lots of buzz around the latest heading our way from Scott Derrickson – The Black Phone – when we first caught glimpse of the awesome mask conjured up by Tom Savini and Jason Baker anticipation instantly ramped up – when the trailer hit, even more interest surged and today we get a retro-style poster that is sure to have to grace the wall of any self-respecting horror fan. Check this out!

In the film:

“Finney Shaw, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, who is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.”

Based on the great short story by Joe Hill – this one looks to be a potential classic.

Ethan Hawk stars as the big bad – The Grabber – and that mask that Savini and Co. came up with – nothing short of awesome. The only bad news on this one is that the release just recently got pushed from early February all the back till June 24th but I’ve got a feeling that this one might be worth the wait.
