Looks like 2021 is going to be the year of the Werewolf – at least when it comes to horror films. Today brings news of a new lycanthrope thriller titled The Hunting – and it looks like an old-school practical FX beastie might be in our future – check out the trailer.
Before I lay the artwork on you – here’s what is known about the flick. It’s directed and co-written by Mark Andrew Hamer – Heather Ryan and Terrance Ryan were the other scribes story-wise. The short and sweet synopsis explains the storyline.
“When a mysterious animal attack leaves a mutilated body in the forest, a conservative small-town detective must enlist the help of an eager wildlife specialist to uncover the dark and disturbing truth that threatens the town.”
Cast wise – we’ve got Peyton Hillis, Joelle Westwood, Joaquin Guerrero, Keith Migra, Angela Cole, Alan Tuskes, Heidi Azaro, Billy Grimm, Daniel Repas, and Matt Tifft. Am I reading that correctly – does the mighty Alan Tuskes got a role in this? Well – that’s all I need to hear.
Black Mandala is holding the rights to this one – and no confirmed release date as of this writing but – they did have some pretty kick-ass artwork constructed – check out these beauties.
