New Line Cinema And HBO Max Teaming Up To Help EVIL DEAD RISE

Fans can’t get enough Evil Dead – we’ve had the original trilogy, a soft reboot, a TV show, and this week we got the word that another chapter to the original three will be heading our way via streaming giant HBO Max.

So, what’s known so far about this return of one of the most popular horror franchises in history? We know Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are involved – but not behind or in front of the camera. They will serve as executive producers. We know that Lee Cronin was hand-picked by Raimi to be the man to helm this fourth chapter in the original franchise. We know that Alyssa Sutherland and Lily Sullivan will star as estranged sisters who you guessed it – will have to fight the deadites when Evil Dead Rise.

We know production is set to ramp up next month in New Zealand – so we are likely looking of an early 2022 roll-out.

HBO Max has been killing it with the fantastic horror programming – and it looks as if they plan on keeping that trend alive well into next year.

This is one that the whole horror world will be watching closely – including us here at Gruesome so – as always – updates as they arise.
