(Gruesome Music) KISS Bio-pic ‘Shout It Out Loud’ May Soon Be Headed To Netflix

Given the huge success in recent years of films like Bohemian Rhapsody and The Dirt – it’s actually a little hard to believe that such a film for iconic rockers KISS does not yet exist. But – Deadline is reporting that Netflix has all but signed on the dotted line to bring the flick Shout It Out Loud to the streaming service, which will recount the formation and rise of “The hottest band in the land – KISS!”

Here’s what Deadline reports about the project:

“Shout It Out Loud will have close cooperation from bandleaders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley The band’s concert-arena anthems will be a big part of this, but the film will focus on that duo going back to when they were two misfit kids from Queens who formed an unlikely friendship, starting KISS after enlisting guitarist Ace Frehley and drummer Peter Criss. Trying to set themselves apart from the “hair” bands of the day, they accented their power chords and pyrotechnics with makeup.”

The film is reportedly on the fast track and Joachim Rønning has been tapped to direct. While no one involved will confirm anything as of this moment – as the deal is not yet inked – word on the street is that this one is pretty much a done deal.

As a life long KISS fan – this one just jumped real high on the “can’t wait to see it” list.

More info as things work themselves out.
