(Trailer) James Gunn Serves Up A Trailer Of Epic Proportions For ‘The Suicide Squad’

Looks like James Gunn is aiming to do for the DC universe exactly what he did for Marvel – bring us a fresh, funny, action-packed tour de force of filmmaking awesomeness. From the music to the dialogue and the carnage – there is literally nothing that I don’t love about this trailer.

King Shark ripping that dude in half might be the single best scene I have seen this year. Synopsis-wise – here’s what the studio sent over.

Super-Villains Harley Quinn, Bloodsport, Peacemaker, and a collection of cons at Belle Reve prison join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X where they are heavily-armed and dropped off at the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese.

Kick-ass cast as well – Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, and Sylvester Stallone are just the tip of the talent iceberg. You had to notice Michael Rooker and Pete Davidson in there as well.

August 6th is the target date – this one has “must-see in theaters” written all over it – and with the vaccine rollout finally going strong – seems pretty likely that may be an achievable goal – but if you’re still concerned about being out and about – the flick hits HBO Max on the same date.
