Featuring a dream cast – John Lee Hancock’s The Little Things promises big things. Billed as a “psychological thriller” this one features three Academy Award winners in what appears to be a cat and mouse crime tale.
This is one of those releases that will be hitting HBO Max on the same day it hits theaters – and I am nothing but good with that – as I’m thinking this one looks pretty damn fantastic.
Synopsis for you:
Kern County Deputy Sheriff Joe “Deke” Deacon (Washington) is sent to Los Angeles for what should have been a quick evidence-gathering assignment. Instead, he becomes embroiled in the search for a killer who is terrorizing the city. Leading the hunt, L.A. Sheriff Department Sergeant Jim Baxter (Malek), impressed with Deke’s cop instincts, unofficially engages his help. But as they track the killer, Baxter is unaware that the investigation is dredging up echoes of Deke’s past, uncovering disturbing secrets that could threaten more than his case.
Denzel Washington, Rami Malek, and Jared Leto are our Academy Award cast – Natalie Morales, Terry Kinney, Chris Bauer, Joris Jarsky, Isabel Arraiza, Sofia Vassileva, and Michael Hyatt are also along for the ride.
Jan. 29th is the day we are looking for this one to hit – HBO Max subscribers can check it out at home – the rest of you will have to head to the theaters.
Either way – this one looks like a must see release to me.
