Hot on the heels of our announcement that Amazon Prime and Blumhouse had teamed up to give us a new eight-film series – titled Welcome To The Blumhouse – comes our first look at the first four films in this new anthology of horrors – have a look.
Looks like a diverse series of flicks. Here’s the rundown straight from the mouth of Amazon – and the mighty Blum:
“WELCOME TO THE BLUMHOUSE is a program of eight unsettling genre movies with each film presenting a distinctive vision and unique perspective on common themes centered around family and love as redemptive or destructive forces.
THE LIE: When their teenaged daughter confesses to impulsively killing her best friend, two desperate parents attempt to cover up the horrific crime, leading them into a complicated web of lies and deception.
BLACK BOX: After losing his wife and his memory in a car accident, a single father undergoes an agonizing experimental treatment that causes him to question who he really is.
EVIL EYE: A seemingly perfect romance turns into a nightmare when a mother becomes convinced her daughter’s new boyfriend has a dark connection to her own past.
NOCTURNE: Inside the halls of an elite arts academy, a timid music student begins to outshine her more accomplished and outgoing twin sister when she discovers a mysterious notebook belonging to a recently deceased classmate.”
Black Box and The Lie hit the streaming giant on Oct. 6th – with Evil Eye and Nocturne rolling out on Oct. 13th. The promised last four films won’t make their way to our eyeballs till after the first of the year.
