This release will be occurring in conjunction with the franchises 40th anniversary and will be hitting the market on Oct. 13th. The press release breaks down all the info:
“In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the groundbreaking 1980 film Friday the 13th, we’re proud to announce the definitive Blu-ray box set of one of the most influential horror franchises ever created.
This deluxe box set includes: all 12 original films from Paramount Pictures and New Line Cinema, NEW and existing extras, a NEW collectible rigid slipcase with newly commissioned art, a NEW40-page collectible booklet with an essay and archival still photography, and NEW 4K film transfers for Parts 1-4 (including Part 3 in its original 3D presentation).
Additionally, each film comes with a dedicated Blu-ray case featuring the original theatrical artwork. A list of final bonus features with even more new extras will be announced at a later date!
While supplies last, pre-orders from ShoutFactory.com will include an exclusive, limited edition 36” x 24” lithograph of the slipcase design by artist Devin Whitehead AND an exclusive, limited edition 24” x 36” Friday the 13th 40th Anniversary poster featuring new artwork by artist Joel Robinson. These will ship rolled, in a poster tube.”
