SYFY Unwraps A New Series And It’s A Good Guy Doll – Chucky Heading To TV

Everyone’s favorite serial killer possessed doll Chucky is making a transition to the small screen thanks to the folks at SyFy Channel.

The genre friendly channel just announced a “straight to series” order for a Child’s Play show – and Don Mancini is on board to direct the pilot.

This is huge news for fans of the killer doll franchise – and it’s kind of sounding like they’ll be going more old school – kind of ignoring that retelling we got last year. Here’s how they are explaining this new show:

“In the new Chucky television series, after a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”

No casting or filming info yet but – you know we are all over this one and as soon as the word drops – you’ll know about it.
