In the late ’60’s and through the ’70’s the television horror genre was defined by one man – Dan Curtis. With Dark Shadows – history was made and a TV genre was born. I can remember as a boy – rushing home from school to see the latest episode and to find out what Barnabas Collins was up too. As a ten year old – it was pretty frightening stuff.
Curtis went on to further cement his horror legacy with his work on The Night Stalker, Trilogy of Terror and Burnt Offerings. The man is a horror legend and I can’t believe it’s taken this long but finally – we’re getting a documentary on the man and his creations. Titled Master Of Dark Shadows – it will get in-depth about the successes of an amazing man. Check out the trailer:
MPI Media Group is releasing via digital and DVD on April 16th – thinking it’s worth a look.
