New Featurette Analyzes The Incredible Sixth Episode Of ‘The Haunting Of Hill House’

The love that I personally have felt for Mike Flanigan’s The Haunting Of Hill House is well documented at this point. Just a few days ago my HNR crew and I sat down and recorded a discussion on the second half of the season and we spent a nice chunk of time discussing the amazing sixth episode. I knew as I was watching it that it was something out of the ordinary and special on a level that not many things are anymore. There are only a few times in your lifetime that you bear witness to true greatness being born but Flanigan and his cast and crew have managed to give us all one of those moments. While all ten episodes are expertly crafted, episode six shall become legendary.   Netflix just released a featurette that delves into what it took to pull the magic of that episode off.

The Haunting of Hill House is streaming now on Netflix – if you’ve yet to commit to checking it out – even if you’re not a fan of horror – change that mindset now.   All these posts about how it’s making people faint – and such – are dong it a disservice.   It is scary, it’s scary as hell but it is also one of the best written, directed, acted, heart wrenching 10 hours of anything that you will ever see.
