Scream Team Releasing Awakening the Ode to Slasher Genre Film “The Sleeper”

Scream Team Releasing (the distributors of The Barn and 10/31) is proud to announce the newest addition to the label…’The Sleeper’. A retro throwback directed by Justin Russell that pays homage to the early slasher films of the 80s’ such as Black Christmas, Promo Night, The House on Sorority Row and Girls Nite Out.
Originally released for purchase on DVD and VHS back in 2013, ‘The Sleeper’ became a cult classic throughout the indie scene but has since went out of print. The Scream Team is happy to say that after many years of slumber ‘The Sleeper’ is now awake and is ready to make some calls! Re-issued and now upgraded to HD as a brand new 2 Disc Blu-ray + DVD Combo Pack . Packed with bonus features including an hour long making of featurette, and reversible case artwork. If you purchased the DVD years ago, don’t worry about having a duplicate copy because the new DVD is a different version known as “The Lost VHS Transfer”.
Synopsis: It’s 1981 and the girls of Alpha Gamma Theta sorority are having a party. As the new pledges arrive, so does an uninvited guest. Little do the sisters know someone is watching them in the shadows. As the girls shower, study, eat and sleep the stalker studies the girls. One by one he finds the girls at their most vulnerable and murders them. The police hunt for the missing girls and their killer, but will they find them in time? Or will the girls be forced to fight for their lives…
