‘Behind The Mask’ Gets Its Turn At The Scream Factory Table

All the Scream Factory Collector’s Edition releases are top notch but every now and again, they pick a title that just send a wave of excitement through any true horror cinema fan.  Tonight brings one such announcement.  Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon is on it’s way to glorious Blu-ray!

First up – check out this kick ass new cover art.

We can thank Joel Robinson for that beauty.  The release will come with a slipcase that features the original artwork – which we’ve all know and loved for years.

No word on special features yet but you know – Scream Factory is going to load this sucker up and I can’t wait to see what they come up with.  We do have a release date though.  March 27th is when this one can be sitting on your shelf.

For those of you who have never seen this modern classic – here’s what it’s all about:

“Nice, normal-looking Leslie Vernon (Nathan Baesel) has an obsession with movie-style slashers like Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger. Leslie decides to follow in the footsteps of his heroes, and, ever the self-promoter, invites a documentary filmmaker (Angela Goethals) and her crew to follow him around as he constructs his own grisly legacy.”

Nathan Baesel, Angela Goethals, Zelda Rubinstein, Scott Wilson, and Robert Englund star while Scott Glosserman directs.
