Dwayne Johnson Takes On Some Giant Creatures In The Trailer Debut For ‘Rampage’

Based on the popular video game, the upcoming action thriller Rampage reunites Dwayne Johnson with the director of one of his hit films from a few years back San Andreas but this time instead of fighting Mother Nature – Johnson takes on mutated beasties.

The trailer lays it all out so – have a look.

Well damn – that does look like a bunch of fun!

April 20th is when we can expect to partake in the high octane action.   The storyline goes like this:

“Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry transforms this gentle ape into a raging monster. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered alpha predators. As these newly created monsters tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.”

Dwayne Johnson, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Malin Akerman, P.J. Byrne, Marley Shelton, Joe Manganiello, Jake Lacy, Breanne Hill, Jack Quaid, and Matt Gerald all lend their talents.   Brad Peyton directs from a script put together by Ryan Engle, Carlton Cuse, Ryan Condal, and Adam Sztykiel.   Lots of talent involved – hoping for good things.

Here’s the poster art they just rolled out too.
