In what can only be described as a major win for both Blumhouse and Universal – it has been confirmed that Jamie Lee Curtis will in deed be returning the the franchise that made her a household name in the upcoming Danny Mcbride / David Gordon Green HALLOWEEN flick that will hit theaters in a little over a year.
It was announced via Twitter:
Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode in HALLOWEEN, released by Universal Pictures October 19, 2018. #HalloweenMovie pic.twitter.com/6tbbz2W1ZV

Blumhouse accompanied that announcement with a short synopsis:
“Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.”
So, it would seem as if the writers are holding true to their word and going to kick start the franchise with the happening of Halloween II as the groundwork. Can’t lie – kind of makes me smile.
As the tweet states above. Oct. 19th of 2018 is when all this fun will kick off. Can’t get her soon enough for the Myer’s fan.
