Oil The Chain – A Green Band Trailer For ‘Leatherface’ Is Ready To Roar

Our infatuation with the skin wearing madman continues and Lionsgate is geared up and ready to hand over to the fans the origin of one of modern horrors most prominent icons.   The title of the film says it all – Leatherface.

Generally speaking – green band trailers – the ones approved for all audiences   – tend to be a little less favorable, at least to us blood and guts fans but every now and again – a trailer breaks that mold.   Seems like Leatherface may be one such film.

See – that wasn’t so bad now, was it.

Synopsis:

In Texas, years before the events of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, in the early days of the infamous Sawyer family, the youngest child is sentenced to a mental hospital after a suspicious incident leaves the sheriffs’ daughter dead. Ten years later, he kidnaps a young nurse and escapes with 3 other inmates. Pursued by authorities including the deranged sheriff out to avenge his daughter’s death, the young Sawyer teen goes on a violent road trip from hell, molding him into the monster known now as Leatherface.

Lili Taylor, Finn Jones, James Bloor, Nicole Andrews, Vanessa Grasse, Julian Kostov and Sam Coleman star.

This one has a bizarre release schedule.   If you’re part of DirecTV in any way – you can see this bad boy on Sept. 21st, 2017.   The rest of us have to wait another month to catch a VOD rollout on Oct. 20th, 2017.
