Stump The Saint — Horror News Radio’s weekly game show in which the listeners guide Thomas Mariani  to the trivia questions poised to stump Santos “The Black Saint” Ellin Jr. Despite his love of trivia, Santos is capable of being stumped on a weekly basis! As to where the audience comes in to Stump The Saint  it’s quite simple:

1. Look at the individual topic for that week
2. Comment — either in this post or in the comments of the posting on Facebook or Twitter — with a film title that relates to the topic for that individual week by the specified date
3. Thomas will take your suggested titles and find three of them that can be spun into trivia questions
4. Thomas will read three of your names on the air as he attempts to stump Santos
5. Those who enter a title with US addresses will be entered into a random drawing to win a special prize!

Topic for the Week

For episode 212,  Stump The Saint  wants to tap into the recesses of your brains in honor of the latest scraps of the found footage subgenre Phoenix Forgotten. The dark places in your brain you want to forget about. The memories that should be guarded yet will now be coming out in full force. The… what were we talking about again? Oh right!  Stump The Saint!  

Basically, we want to know What Genre Films You Wish Could Be Wiped From Your Mind. If aliens were to come down, abduct you, hopefully not anal probe you and then erase your memory, what awful piece of filth of a genre film would it be? A terrible superhero film? One of those ghastly sci-fi groaners? Another crappy found footage borefest like  Phoenix Forgotten? We wanna know!

The Prize

Every month,  Stump The Saint  gives listeners with US addresses the potential to win a special prize. Those who have US addresses — which we’ll mainly try to find out  through publically available information on social media sites — will have at the very least a monthly opportunity to win in a random drawing. This month, we’ve got a special mystery prize DVD or Blu ray for you! The Black Saint himself has a vast array of titles in his massive collection and he’ll be willing to part with one just for you this month!

You’ll have until  April 24th  at 8:30 pm EST to submit your answer and be in contention to win one of five blu-rays/DVDs Santos is willing to part with at the end of the month! Keep in mind this is the last week to be in contention for this prize, as we’ll announce the winner on episode 213!

Thomas Mariani

Thomas Mariani is a born geek, with a bit of nerd mixed in here & there. A native of the (less) swampy parts of Florida, Thomas has always been a fan of films, television & other sources of media ever since he was a child, having been raised on Jim Henson, Star Wars and the basic cable cartoons of the ’90s & ’00s.
