Indie horror-comedy She Kills has gotten lots of positive buzz on the festival circuit. It hit iTunes, Amazon Video, and Vimeo in the fall of 2016, and now SRS Cinema is getting ready to release it to home video (DVD, cable, and VOD) on April 11, 2017. Check out the trailer for writer/director Ron Bonk‘s homage to 1970s drive-in and grindhouse cinema:
It looks pretty wild, fun, and gory. The word from the festivals is that it lives up to the promise of the trailer. Here is the official synopsis:
Sadie’s life is destroyed when a vicious gang called ‘The Touchers’ targets her for their sadistic fantasies after witnessing her sexy but innocent naked frolicking in a nearby field. On her wedding night they attack her and her husband Edward, brutalizing both of them. But during the attack the virgin bride discovers a dangerous secret about her body – she is cursed with the legendary STD ‘Fire Crotch’, a condition where Satan has laid claim to her vagina. After visiting her fortune teller friend Casparella, a space exorcism is attempted on her meat flaps, but it only ends up unlocking secret hidden powers inside her. Her hatchet wound becomes lethal, her most deadly weapon in her thirst for revenge against The Touchers and her fight against lustful men everywhere!

The folks behind it have a good track record. If you caught Night of Something Strange (2016), you will be pleased to find out that it shares much of its cast and crew with that film.
She Kills stars Jennie Russo (Haunted Texas), Trey Harrison (Ithaca), Michael Merchant (Science Team), Jody Pucello (American Dresser), David Royal and Martha Zemsta. It was written by Ron Bonk and produced by Jonathan Straiton (Night of Something Strange) and Howard Gromero (Ms Cannibal Holocaust), with a score composed by Emmett Van Slyke (Clay).
