Director Mike Flanagan Bringing A Horror Classic To Netflix

Shirley Jackson’s classic horror tale The Haunting Of Hill House has been adapted twice – once in 1963 by Robert Wise and again in 1999 by Jan Debont but until now – it has never been adapted for TV.   Technically – it’s being adapted for Netflix but in a series format with a 10 episode first season locked and loaded to be helmed by Mike Flanagan.

Mike Flanagan is coming off a great year.   2016 was a very good year with HUSH – also produced for Netflix impressing many.   Of course, Ouija 2 surprised many and ended up on a lot of ten best of lists.

Don’t forget   – Flanagan is also currently working on an adaptation of Stephen King’s Gerald’s Game – also for Netflix – see a pattern yet?

No information yet on when we might be seeing this modern take on the horror classic but – we do know that Flanagan will be writing, directing and producing this little endeavor.

As this one gear up – I’ll make sure you get your updates – keep it here.
