Back in November, the first teaser trailer was released for Luc Besson‘s upcoming Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Well, now we have a second teaser trailer, and it looks even more spectacular than the first. Enough talk. Take a gander at this . . .
Pretty darn cool, yes? Valerian and the City of the Thousand Planets is based on the French comic book series Valérian et Laureline by writer Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mézières. Writer/director Besson has plenty of classic films in his resume – La Femme Nikita (1990), Léon: The Professional (1994), The Fifth Element (1997), Les Aventures Extraordinaires d’Adèle Blanc-Sec (2010), to name just a few – so there is a pretty good chance that the film will live up to its trailer. It is slated for release on July 21, 2017, so it looks like we will need to wait until this summer to see.
