Netflix Teases ‘The Discovery’ And It’s Nothing If Not Interesting

Netflix has become an excellent source of stand-alone genre programming.   I don’t think I need to remind any of you about a little show called Stranger Things and The OA – while not embraced by the fans as rabidly as Stranger Things – is a damn fine show none the less.   We’ve talked previously about the new Drew Barrymore vehicle The Santa Clara Diet, that is hitting the streaming service soon and now we can add to the mix – The Discovery.

A trailer popped up online and it’s pretty damn intriguing.   Have a peek:

Yeah – like I said.   intriguing, right?

Here’s what we know.   The project debuts on March 31st and stars Jason Segel, Robert Redford, Rooney Mara and Riley Keough.   Here’s all I could find in the way of a synopsis:

“One year after the existence of the afterlife is scientifically verified, millions around the world have ended their own lives in order to “get there”. A man and woman fall in love while coming to terms with their own tragic pasts and the true nature of the afterlife.”
