[Trailer] “Rings” (2016): Samara Returns to Terrorize Audiences Once Again

Samara returns  to theaters on October 28, 2016, with RINGS after an eleven-year hiatus (since Ring Two 2005). Paramount has unleashed the trailer today (8/24/2016) after months (or is it years) of speculation without any official images or video of the feature film. Rings is directed by F. Javier Gutierrez and features Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden, Bonnie Morgan and Vincent D’Onofrio. The trailer recaptures that creepy feeling of the video, the phone call, the harrowing voice of “Seven Days” and…Samara. Perhaps it gives too much away. Maybe. Regardless, check out the trailer below and get exciting for Rings this October.

A new chapter in the beloved RING horror franchise. A young woman becomes worried about her boyfriend when he explores a dark subculture surrounding a mysterious videotape said to kill the watcher seven days after he has viewed it. She sacrifices herself to save her boyfriend and in doing so makes a horrifying discovery: there is a “movie within the movie” that no one has ever seen before…
